New York Times Bestselling Author Chris Bohjalian to visit Chattanooga Oct. 15

The Chattanooga Public Library and the Chattanooga Public Library Foundation are set to host New York Times bestselling author Chris Bohjalian on October 15, 2026, as part of the library’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Bohjalian will speak at Hayes Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). The author talk is free and open to the public, though preregistration is requested due to limited seating. Local independent bookstore, The Book & Cover will be on-site selling copies of Bohjalian’s books for signing following the presentation.  

A VIP experience is also available for $100 per person and includes an exclusive meet-and-greet with Bohjalian beginning at 4:30pm, along with a signed copy of his latest novel, The Amateur and hors d'oeuvres. Proceeds from the VIP ticket sales benefit the CPL Foundation and its continued mission to support the library.

His breakout novel, Midwives, was a #1 New York Times bestseller and an Oprah's Book Club selection. Bohjalian’s novel The Flight Attendant was adapted into a television series and received twelve Emmy nominations.
